UNLV’s School of Community Health Sciences (SCHS) is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of people in Nevada and worldwide through quality education, research and service. Every day, SCHS advances the science of public health through applied research and outreach programs that address health disparities and improve health and quality of life in the community.
SCHS delivers a diverse education to students through a full range of bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs, offering practical training experience and community involvement opportunities that prepare students to become public health leaders.
The school’s thriving research programs were awarded more than $5 million in 2014, and its Master of Public Health Degree Program maintains full accreditation with concentrations in environmental health, epidemiology and biostatistics, health care administration, and social and behavioral health.
