The University of Indianapolis (UIndy) offers degrees in public health with concentrations in health education (undergraduate) and health disparities (graduate). Situated minutes from downtown Indianapolis, the program focuses on addressing needs among underserved communities including federally recognized food deserts, geographic life expectancy disparities, minority populations, refugee populations, and environmental exposures.

With UIndy’s motto of “Education for Service,” faculty prioritize experiential learning experiences in the heart of the community, working directly in partnership with local nonprofit and governmental partners to address community needs. With a strong health disparities focus, the Public Health Program at UIndy thrives on connecting course content to students’ skill development in alleviating and addressing health concerns amongst vulnerable populations.

The online MPH curriculum is mostly asynchronous and may be pursued simultaneously with other health-related graduate degrees or certificates with shared credits. Qualified undergraduates may complete a combined 5-year bachelor/MPH degree or other accelerated options.
