The University of Memphis School of Public Health is preparing the next generation of leaders to address public health problems and is focused on translating research into practical solutions to improve the lives of individuals and families in the community it serves. The school partners with the community to confront issues such as HIV/AIDS, childhood obesity, asthma, heart disease, tobacco use, sickle cell disease, inadequate access to health services, unsafe housing and other social inequities that adversely affect health. Students and faculty are actively engaged with the community in public health research, practice and service. The school envisions change in the world while making a difference in the community.
