Founded in 1915, the Yale School of Public Health is one of the oldest such institutions in the United States. Today, as the school approaches its centennial, the school has a truly global mission. Yale SPH researchers, students and alumni can be found in dozens of countries throughout the world working on health problems as diverse as HIV/AIDS, leptospirosis, air pollution, health disparities, obesity and intimate partner violence, to name only a few. A century of collaboration has allowed the school to build strong partnerships that position itself to address the challenging and crucial public health problems of the 21st century.
