OU MPH (2)

Oakland University’s (OU) Master of Public Health program prepares future public health professionals to lead efforts to address complex public health issues.

Students gain experience in community-based participatory research and practice through our strong community partnerships with local and international organizations. Our students have presented their research at regional and national conferences. They are also first authors of peer-reviewed publications in top-tier journals.

Our graduates have obtained employment in health departments, nonprofits, health systems, and health insurance companies, where they lead infectious disease surveillance, quality improvement, health equity, and community health education projects.

OU’s Master of Public Health program has a flexible plan of study that allows students to complete their MPH degree in 2, 3, or 5 years. Our program also offers three graduate certificates in the areas of (1) Epidemiological Research, (2) Global and Population Health Services, and (3) Health Equity.
