Northern Illinois University

Northern Illinois University offers:

Students can begin the program in the fall, spring or summer, and progress at their own pace. Many students work full-time, while attending classes part-time. Others take a full load of three to four courses per semester.

Opportunities exist to study abroad during the summer and for a paid internship with an international health agency.

Some alumni have risen to responsible positions in health organizations, while others have pursued doctorates or medical residencies.

Faculty research includes health disparities (gender and exercise, sexual orientation, child health in Indonesia, mammography among the Amish, disability) and policy (electronic medical record use, state policies and school physical education, autism services).
