The mission of Mercer University’s Department of Public Health is to prepare competent health professionals to advance Public Health practice in communities, primarily underserved and rural populations through instruction, research and service to promote social justice and health equity. Mercer offers a Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH) degree and a generalist MPH degree teaching skill sets that open doors to various opportunities in the field. Mercer offers the MPH program on both the Atlanta and Macon, Georgia campuses, with classes offered in the evening and online. Faculty, students and partners have access to innovative research opportunities through the Center for Evaluation and Applied Research. Public health is a vastly growing field, and Mercer's Public Health program offers students a rewarding opportunity to help reduce health disparities and improve quality of life for families and communities.
