La Salle University is a private Roman Catholic institution with accredited bachelor’s and master’s programs in public health. The mission of the public health program, which is rooted in the larger university mission, is to educate professionals from diverse disciplines and backgrounds in core public health knowledge areas so that they are equipped to help prevent disease and promote physical and mental health and social well-being through public health practice, leadership, research, and service.
The bachelor of science in public health program is focused on health education and is committed to service and leadership in underserved, vulnerable communities. The master of public health program addresses health disparities in urban communities and seeks to promote social justice. Both programs focus on experiential learning, which builds professionals who are collaborators, taking what they learn in the classroom directly to practice in the community.
