The Robert Stempel College of Public Health and Social Work (RSCPHSW) is named through a family endowment for its beloved former faculty member, an epidemiologist who traveled the world. Located in Miami, Florida, the RSCPHSW is recognized by integrating public health, dietetics & nutrition and a School of Social Work.

RSCPHSW enrolls and graduates the largest proportion of minorities among mainland schools of public health. The Stempel Public Health (student) Association organized a 10-day health mission to Peru in summer 2010. This fall for the fourth year, the FIU Delta Iota Chapter of Phi Alpha National Honor Society for Social Work students won the Service Award and two dietetics & nutrition students received Outstanding Student Awards by the American Dietetic Association. Our signature event is the Paths of Public Health Awards luncheon
