The Eastern Virginia Medical School/Old Dominion University joint Master of Public Health Program combines a medical school perspective with that of a national leader in higher education. Partnerships with local non-governmental organizations, hospital systems, the Virginia Department of Health, non-profits, and others allow students to directly impact our community’s public health. Students in the EVMS/ODU MPH Program can graduate in 5 semesters and choose to concentrate in one of four tracks: Epidemiology, Global Environmental Health, Health Management & Policy, or Health Promotion. Students earn their MPH degree from a grassroots medical school that was founded “by the community, for the community”, in conjunction with a nationally recognized University, proving them a learning environment where they are more than a number – they are our partners in changing the health of the world.
