Coastal Carolina University is a dynamic public institution located in Conway, just minutes from the resort area of Myrtle Beach, S.C. The University offers more than 100 undergraduate and more than 30 graduate-level (doctoral, educational specialist, master’s) major fields of study, including specialized concentrations.
CCU offers a Bachelor of Science in public health, where students can complete a general cognate, or one of four other concentrations in community health, dietetics, health administration, and health literacy. The program enables students to pursue entry-level careers in public health, apply to graduate degree programs, or earn prerequisite credits for programs in the health professions.
All students participate in two experiential activities: a field experience in their sophomore year and a semester-long capstone internship in the final semester. After completing the program, students are eligible to sit for the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC), Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®) exam.
