The Council met in Scottsdale, Arizona on November 1-2, 2018 for its fall decision-making meeting. Below are three highlights from the meeting:
- CEPH accredited its 200th unit! CEPH started out with just 10 schools of public health in 1946. There are now 66 accredited schools of public health, 121 accredited public health programs, and 13 accredited standalone baccalaureate programs.
- The Council elected its officers for 2019. These officers serve as the Council's Executive Committee.
President: Stephanie Miles-Richardson, DVM, PhD
President-Elect: Phillip L. Williams, PhD, CIH
Treasurer: Elizabeth M. Altmaier, PhD
Member-At-Large: Joyce Gaufin
- The Council continued work on its strategic plan for the next five years. The activities helped the Council identify priority areas. An ad hoc strategic planning committee is working with the results to present a draft plan to the Council at its next meeting in winter 2019.
