Dear AOW Attendees,
Due to global spread of COVID-19 and emerging recommendations from government spokespersons about travel for vulnerable populations and caution for large gatherings, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Accreditation Orientation Workshop scheduled to be held next week in Arlington, Virginia.
Workshop: Our next workshop will be held on July 30-31 in Washington, DC. All registrants for the March workshop will automatically have their March registration transferred to the July event and, of course, registrations are transferable within institutions. To change the name on the registration or if you or a colleague from your school or program is unable to attend the workshop in July, please contact Olivia Luzzi at firstname.lastname@example.org . If you intend to participate in the workshop in July, you need to do nothing. We will reach out to you to confirm your attendance in a few weeks.
We recognize that initial applicants for accreditation need to attend this workshop to move forward with their accreditation process. While we cannot replicate the workshop online (the value of the workshop is in the Q & A, focused table discussions with colleagues, and one-on-one interaction with staff), we will provide the staff-delivered content via live webinarstarting at 1:00 pm EDT on March 16 and continuing on March 17. Note to Applicants: attending this webinar will count as your required attendance at an AOW, however, your registration will still transfer to the in-person training in July. We will send the modified agenda and call-in numbers to all meeting registrants later this week. The content will be tailored to initial applicants but the webinar will be open to all registrants. This online content delivery is open only to those who are currently registered for the March workshop.
Hotel: Please be sure to cancel your hotel reservations ASAP.
Express Consults: If you have an Express Consult scheduled, a staff consultant will reach out to you in the coming days to schedule a web-assisted consultation at a mutually convenient time.
Please reach out to Olivia Luzzi if you have additional questions about the workshop.
The health and safety of our stakeholders is our priority.
