The Division of Public Health at the University of Utah provides students with a world-class educational experience in public health. The Division offers MPH, MSPH, and Ph.D. degrees in Public Health, a Master of Statistics in Biostatistics, and graduate certificates in Public Health, Emergency Health, Statistics Public Health, and Global Health. Faculty specialize in maternal and child health, integrating public health with preventive medicine, and community-based participatory research at sites in various countries across the globe. The Division’s dedicated efforts to global health provide opportunities for students to apply what they have learned in the classroom to public health problems in diverse communities throughout the world. The program’s overall mission is “to advance the scholarship of promoting and protecting the health of communities in Utah and around the globe.”
