NMSU is a Public Land Grant Research University that offers Degrees in Public Health. The Department of Public Health Science at NMSU prepares public health practitioners and scholars to work in community settings across the state, nation, and globally. In all of our work, faculty, staff, and students, reflect values that are core to public health practice such as equity, respect, diversity, trust, social justice, participation, inclusion, and fairness. These values are fundamental to addressing existing pervasive health disparities in the state and beyond and in preparing the next generation of public health practitioners and researchers. We offer a nationally approved undergraduate degree in public health and an accredited Master’s in Public Health Degree with specialization in Health Behavior and Health Promotion (HBHP) and Health Management, Administration, and Policy (HMAP). Both programs offer students the opportunity to take courses online or through the traditional face-to-face format. Faculty take great pride in working with students and mentoring them as they enter the public health world. We are proud when we state ‘We ARE Public Health’.
