The Department of Public Health in Mercer University’s College of Health Professions produces competent professionals through integrating education, service, and research to engage diverse communities in improving population health, eliminating health disparities, and achieving health equity and social justice. Focused on Diverse Populations and Health Equity, we offer a Bachelor of Science in Public Health (on campus) in Macon, Georgia, and a Master of Public Health (on campus, online, or accelerated) in Atlanta, Georgia. The Doctor of Public Health is offered in Atlanta with two concentrations: Diverse Populations and Health Equity (online) and Social Epidemiology (on campus/hybrid). Additionally, combined degree programs allow students to earn the MPH degree along with doctoral degrees in pharmacy, physical therapy, and psychology, or a master’s degree in medical science. Students learn and develop public health skills with support from public health experts who serve as faculty and mentors, opening doors to exceptional career opportunities.
