Situated on a campus overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, the Graduate Public Health Program (GPHP) at the American University of Beirut in Lebanon offers three MPH concentration programs and three MS programs.
The GPHP offers students exceptional opportunities to be engaged in community-based research and regional public health challenges from an ecological perspective that includes not only local and regional factors but also an analysis of the influence of global forces on health. The curriculum emphasizes critical thinking and social justice. Students can gain practical experience by engaging in research that is community-based, participatory and intervention focused and can choose from a variety of regional networks and an outreach program that extends from Morocco to Iraq.
